lyndis

a pittsburgh, pa native, lyndis was drawn to yoga at a young age; accompanying her mother to vinyasa classes, meditating quietly in her room, teaching sun salutations to her little sisters, but it wasn’t until later in high school that lyndis started practicing almost daily. after a particularly amazing assist from her teacher and dear friend katie lascola, lyndis knew she wanted to bring this experience to others. upon graduating high school at 17, lyndis completed a 200 hour teacher training with lynn rescigno and then another 200 hours with dominique ponko of yoga flow. that year, she pioneered an elementary school yoga program for children aged 4-13 years, and taught at various pittsburgh yoga studios. in fall 2014, lyndis moved to sherbrooke, quebec to study biology in health science, focusing on anatomy studies which influence her style of teaching.

a daughter of pittsburgh symphony musicians, lyndis’ childhood home was filled with music. she is acutely aware of music’s power to evoke emotion and enhance a moment. it’s because of this that she feels the presence of inspiring music and dynamic beats is integral to an amazing class. she is always listening to new artists and introduces new and unexpected styles of music to her playlists to create an unforgettable class experience.

lyndis enjoys reading the new yorker, going to brunch, and smashing avocados on toast and sprinkling them with trader joe’s everything but the bagel. she loves to sweat and takes barre, and spinning classes to complement her yoga practice, and always cools down with a glass (or 2) of 🍾.
